Pharmacodynamics:
Neomycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic with strong bactericidal activity against Gram-negative bacilli. When administered orally, it is poorly absorbed, and most of the drug is excreted unchanged in the feces. However, in cases of intestinal inflammation or ulcers, absorption may increase.
Indications:
Used to treat gastrointestinal infections caused by Gram-negative bacteria in poultry.
Dosage and Administration:

Drinking water: 0.25–0.375 ml per 1 L of water for poultry

Duration: 3–5 consecutive days
Adverse Reactions:
Neomycin may cause nephrotoxicity, ototoxicity, and neuromuscular blockade.
Precautions:

Do not use in laying hens during the egg-laying period.

Toxic if used via non-oral routes; however, oral use at recommended doses is generally safe.

May interfere with the absorption of vitamin A, vitamin B₂, and digitalis glycosides.
