For Veterinary Use Only
Main Ingredient:
Amoxicillin
Specification:
30 g per 100 g
Pharmacological Action:
Pharmacodynamics:
Amoxicillin is a broad-spectrum β-lactam antibiotic. Its antibacterial activity and spectrum are similar to ampicillin, but slightly weaker against most Gram-positive bacteria. It is sensitive to penicillinase, and therefore ineffective against penicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus.
It is effective against Gram-negative bacteria such as E. coli, Proteus spp., Salmonella spp., Haemophilus spp., Brucella spp., and Pasteurella spp., although resistance can develop easily. It has no activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
Pharmacokinetics:
Amoxicillin is stable in gastric acid and has a high oral bioavailability (74–92%) in monogastric animals. Although gastrointestinal content affects absorption speed, it does not affect total absorption, making it suitable for feed or water medication. After the same oral dose, amoxicillin reaches serum concentrations 1.5–3 times higher than ampicillin.
Indications:
Used for the treatment of infections in chickens caused by amoxicillin-sensitive Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, particularly in respiratory, urinary, skin, and soft tissue infections.

Adverse Reactions:
May significantly disrupt normal gastrointestinal flora.
Precautions:
-
Do not use in laying hens during the laying period for human consumption.
